Terra Red Bliss Made With Olive Oil Potato Chips
Price: $3.95
Weight: 5oz.
Color / Appearance: Golden, natural cut potato chips with red flakes sprinkled on the. I assume the flakes are the remnants of the potato's red skin.
Crunch: Excellent crunch here. Very solid, thick cut chip.
Flavor: Nice fried potato flavor, the fact that they were fried in olive oil is quite evident. Very lightly salted.
Chip Quality: Excellent quality of chip here. Almost all fully round chips in the same shape they were in when they were cut and fried. No burned chips.
Overall: All right, when I tasted my first chip I really wasn't fond of the olive oil flavor that I tasted here. It is quite noticeable and distinct, and if you are used to vegetable oil potato chips it is very different. Also on my first chip I immediately wanted them to be saltier. But as I kept crunching away at these chips, the taste really grew on me. I can see where they were going when they made these chips, and I like it. Olive oil is a healthier oil than vegetable as far as I know. And with the great flavor of these chips (once you get used to it). I would have to say that they are really great. The only downside that I can see here is the price to weight ratio. You just don't get a lot of bulk for your money. But I dont think if you are grabbing a bag of these that that is what you are looking for anyway.
